Next week the operation to remove temporary falsework (access walkways) from the Penn Inn Flyover will take place, requiring some overnight traffic management.
On Wednesday, 22nd July, from 7:30pm there will be a series of lane closures on the northern section of the roundabout underneath the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel around the roundabout and all routes will be accessible.
The following night, Thursday 23rd July from 9pm, the southern section of the roundabout carriageway beneath the bridge will be closed for a period of time during the night. Road users approaching the roundabout from Exeter or Milber direction and wishing to travel towards Newton Abbot or Exeter will be diverted along the A380 to the new roundabout at Aller, back along the A380 and then on to Newton Abbot or Exeter.
The lane closures will be in place throughout the night, while the carriageway closure will be kept to the shortest duration possible.
Should there be any unexpected disruption to these plans or poor weather there is a contingency for the works to take place on Friday, 24th, Saturday 25th and Monday 27th July, if necessary.
