Update: Access to the Downs will only be available via Church Way Lane on Sunday 10th and Monday 11th December.    On Tuesday 12th December access will only be available via Maddacombe Road as Church Way Lane will be resurfaced.  We apologise for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.

We are pleased to confirm that the final surfacing and finishing of Yon Street and Maddacombe Road in Kingskerswell are scheduled to take place this weekend.
Diversions will be in place whilst this work is completed and some noise will be possible due to 24 hour working.  The diversion routes for both Yon Street and Maddacombe Road can be seen here:

Yon Street diversion  Maddacombe Road diversion

The current schedule is:
Yon Street
Close from 19:00 on Friday 11th December through to 06:00 Monday 14th December
Maddacombe Road
Close at 07:00 on Sunday 13th December through to 19:00 Monday 14th December

This schedule does show a cross-over of both roads being closed at the same time for a period of time but both programmes do have a contingency built in.  Yon Street will be opened as soon as possible to prevent both closures being in place simultaneously.
Please contact the team on 01626 233027 or 01626 233019 if you require any further information.

Update: In addition to the planned closures noted below the northbound onslip at Aller will close from midnight tonight (Friday) for several hours to carry out anti-skid surfacing and line marking.  Traffic will be diverted through Aller or Decoy.   During off peak hours on Sunday through to Tuesday morning there will be a lane closure on the A380 southbound from the footbridge to Penn Inn. This may cause motorists some delays.

From Tuesday 8th December through to Monday 14th December, Hamelin Way in Torquay will be closed overnight to continue with line markings and anti-skid surfacing. The road closures will be in effect from 8pm through to 6am the following day.  If the full closure is not required or the weather prevents the operations being carried out, the road will be reopened.

In addition, the A380 from Penn Inn roundabout to Aller roundabout, near to the Barn Owl pub will be closed on Friday 11th December from 9pm to midnight for work on the embankment near to the new gantry sign.

This work is not expected to be noisy or disruptive to residents but the diversions routes may add additional time to journey times.

We thank you for your continued patience.
