Environmental measures
August

The South Devon Link Road project passes through a wide range of habitats: grassland, arable, water meadow and wetland. It will inevitably have an impact on local ecology, but the project team has a moral and legal obligation to minimise this as much as possible or to compensate for loss of any habitats.

For this reason surveys are undertaken and programmes carried out to safely remove protected species.

Fencing goes up at the land between the Sunlight Laundry and Keyberry to capture any rare Great Crested Newts which might be living in that habitat.
